CSYHA remains committed to a season for our players

CSYHA Families,

Although there remains a significant deal of uncertainty on what tomorrow will bring for hockey please know that USA Hockey, NYSAHA, and CSYHA remains committed to seeing all of our players back on the ice just as soon as it is considered safe.

We realize that we are seeing a return to professional sports at the same time that we are witnessing a hold on school and NCAA sports programs at least for the initial weeks.  Please know that CSYHA Board Members are actively engaged still with the Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC) who manages the rink on SUNY Morrisville and both sides are working hard within the guidelines and limitations each has on them from governing bodies to make sure we are back as soon as possible.

We do face additional complications as our rink is on a SUNY campus so we are doing our due diligence in the event that the SUNY rink cannot open when other local rinks do but please know that MAC considers us a valued tenant and have proven they do not want to lose CSYHA to this circumstance and in return MAC has been a great host to CSYHA for almost two decades so we are both working to find a way to function moving forward.

As with other community situations we will have additional requirements leveraged on us to include everything from masks in the building (not required yet while in play), temperature readings, questionnaires, limited use of locker rooms, BYOWB (bring your own water bottle & water) and coaches can expected to be masked while on the bench.  This is just a sample so expect changes but know when hockey is opened know that CSYHA will be ready to go.

Should anyone have any questions please contact the CSYHA president Chris at president@centerstatehockey.com.

Thank you, CSYHA
