ATTEND A CLINIC IF NEEDED
This has become the last step in annual coaching certification, the Coaching Education Program (aka - the CEP "clinic"). As of the 2017-18 season the completion of the CEP clinic must be completed by 31 December and is the only item you are allowed to not have completed to get on the ice.
You can find your CEP number and status on the USA Hockey website.
There are several clinics being given in the area each fall in the Central New York area. Please register as soon as they are opened to ensure you can attend the one you want (they are first-come, first-served and some DO fill up quickly).
CEP STATUS EXPIRATION DETAILS
Levels 1 and 2 expire after 1 year (unless you are in Mites or Initiation, then the Level 1 is good until you move on to coach squirts).
Level 3 expires after 2 years, but you can re-register on-line twice before you have to take a Level 4.
Level 4 never expires.
Level 5 is generally not required for youth coaching.
