Pee Wee Travel - Post 2017-18 Tryouts

Dear Pee Wee Parents/Players,

Thank you for coming to Center State for travel team tryouts over the past two weekends. It  was a great opportunity for your children to get some inexpensive ice time, reconnect with previous teammates and have fun. We appreciate your dedication and interest in our organization.

After much discussion with the paid evaluators and our Board of Directors, we have decided not to field a travel team at this level.

We want the players to be competitive so that they can continue to develop and enjoy the great game of hockey. In order to field a full team, the Board of Directors has approved to move 1 goalie and 3 players from the Squirt level to the Pee Wee level for the 2017-2018 season. This was determined to be a necessity, so that we can field a Pee Wee Snowbelt (House) team.

We encourage all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or other family members to think about coaching. Classes are usually held in August at Twin Rinks in Cicero and no experience is needed (skating knowledge is helpful). Please contact a Board Member (emails are on our website)for more information on what you need to coach, we would be happy to help. Information is also located on our website www.centerstatehockey.com  or our FaceBook page.

Our goal is for players to have fun, play safe and continue to develop.

Thank you,

Center State Board of Directors

Squirt Travel - Post 2017-18 Tryouts

Dear Squirt Parents/Players,

Thank you for coming to Center State for travel team tryouts over the past two weekends. It  was a great opportunity for your children to get some inexpensive ice time, reconnect with previous teammates and have fun. We appreciate your dedication and interest in our organization.

After much discussion with the paid evaluators and our Board of Directors, we have decided not to field a travel team at this level.

We want the players to be competitive so that they can continue to develop and enjoy the great game of hockey. With the amount of players we have at this level, we will re-evaluate them with the coaches at the beginning of the season and decide how to split up the teams. Please note at the last Board of Director's meeting we did approve 1 goalie and 3 players (all 2nd year Squirts) to move up to play on the Pee Wee House team, this was necessary to be able to have 1 team at the Pee Wee level.

We still need coaches at this level. We encourage all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or other family members to think about coaching. Classes are usually held in August at Twin Rinks in Cicero and no experience is needed (skating knowledge is helpful). Please contact a Board Member (email addresses are located on our website) for more information on what you need to coach, we would be happy to help. Information located on our website www.centerstatehockey.com  or our FaceBook page.

Our goal is for players to have fun, play safe and continue to develop.

Thank you,

Center State Board of Directors
